We operate low, mid, and high power rocket launches at our field just north of South Charleston, OH, where we've obtained a flight waiver to 10,000' ASL (Above Sea Level) from the FAA. We typically fly the first Saturday of each month weather permitting. Our waiver is such that we can accommodate flights any day of the year provided we call in our NOTAM (NOtice To AirMen) within 48 hours of the launch day, so if the weather doesn't cooperate (or we simply get the itch to fly an extra day or two...), we can simply reschedule for any day later in the month contingent on prior permission from the land owner. Flights are limited to 10,240 Newton-seconds total impulse (one M motor), are run under the NAR HPR Safety Code, and you must be a certified NAR, CAR or Tripoli member to fly high power at these events. We have access to 2 launch controllers, one for low/mid power and one for high-power, and we have an exceptional selection of rods and rails, but check with us if you need something special. |
